London Business Angels - Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme
London Business Angels have announced a new, FSA-regulated Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS).
London Business Angels (LBA), part of the Angel Capital Group, focuses on providing both investment and knowledge to high-growth businesses. The launch of LBA's Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) follows the investment network's previous three Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) funds. The SEIS offers funding for seed-stage businesses in the form of co-investment alongside London Business Angels investors.
The scheme seeks to support the Government's growth agenda by helping smaller, riskier, early-stage UK companies, which may face barriers in raising external finance, to attract investment, making it easier for these companies to be established and to grow.
The fund has a total value of £250,000, with LBA seeking to co-invest in around five companies within the duration of the scheme.
The fund will only co-invest with LBA syndicates, particularly where a lead LBA angel investor from the syndicate is mentoring and assisting management.
Applications may be made at any time.
