Business Competition opens to Companies in Carbon and Environmental Sectors
The One Trinity Green Business Competition is open to firms in South Tyneside to encourage business development and to create employment.
The aim of the One Trinity Green Business Competition is to encourage people in South Tyneside to start a business or further develop it, bringing jobs and creating employment opportunities for local residents.
A winner from each category (start up and existing business) will receive the following:
- One year's free business accommodation at One Trinity Green.
- £5,000 cash to support business growth.
- Free expert support to help develop a business.
The Competition is open to both existing and new businesses in the South Tyneside region or looking to relocate to the region in the carbon and environmental sectors.
The winner will be selected based on the judging panel's opinion of the entries based on the following criteria:
- Viability of the proposed product/service.
- Research/business planning undertaken.
- Ability/commitment to succeed.
Councillor Ed Martin commented:
"One Trinity Green is a superb development which will attract new businesses operating within the low carbon and environmental industries sectors.
"It will encourage people from all over the region to start their businesses here in South Tyneside and once established these companies will receive all the support they need to grow and evolve – bringing jobs and creating exciting employment opportunities for local residents."
The deadline for receipt of applications is 30 March 2012.
