Businesses in Doncaster with Opportunity to Support Growth Plans
Start up and early stage firms in Doncaster will have access to support their growth plans following a new organisation's launch.
Business Doncaster brings together the Success Doncaster and Invest in Doncaster teams from Doncaster Council together with investment provider Donbac, Doncaster College and Doncaster Chamber of Commerce.
The business support services organisation is targeted at providing a one stop shop for all forms of business and skills advice.
Jon Whiteley, chairman of Enterprising Doncaster, commented:
“If businesses are looking to set up in Doncaster, or at early stages of development or looking to grow, they need easy to access specialist advice and support. Without such help business opportunities can be lost and new enterprises may suffer. I am greatly encouraged by this new initiative and I am sure it will make a significant impact and lead to economic benefits for Doncaster.”
Peter Davies, Mayor of Doncaster, further stated:
”Doncaster Council has a vital role to play in putting Doncaster on the map and supporting the fantastic businesses we already have here. Working in close partnership with other like minded organisations demonstrates how serious we are in ensuring economic growth in the town. We are working hard to support projects and businesses which will create sustainable jobs for future generations.”
The event was launched at Success Doncaster Business Showcase Exhibition held at Doncaster Dome.
Business Doncaster will provide advice on areas including investment opportunities, funding, training and skills, career development, apprenticeships, access to government grants and exporting advice.
